Position Type: Full-Time, ASAP – June 2nd, 2025
Days/Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Caseload: Approximately 40 students, including students in Cross-Categorical special education programs (grades 6-8)
AnthroMed Education is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Jr. High School in Des Plaines, IL. This full-time position will begin ASAP and continue through June 2nd, 2025. The SLP will work with a caseload of approximately 40 middle school students, including those in special education programs (Cross-Categorical, grades 6-8). The primary responsibility of the SLP will be to assess, diagnose, and provide individualized therapy to students with a range of speech and language disorders. Responsibilities:
- Conduct Assessments: Evaluate students' speech and language abilities to identify communication disorders and provide appropriate diagnoses.
- Develop Individualized Therapy Plans: Create and implement individualized treatment plans based on each student's specific needs, incorporating both short-term and long-term goals.
- Provide Speech and Language Therapy: Deliver direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication challenges, using evidence-based practices and interventions.
- Foster a Positive Learning Environment: Create an inclusive, engaging, and supportive environment for students, making speech therapy a positive and enjoyable experience.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid PEL licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (Illinois).
