School Social Worker – Therapeutic Day School

AnthroMed Education is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker to join a therapeutic day school environment for the 2024-2025 school year. This role offers an opportunity to work within a highly collaborative team to support students with IEPs and special education needs.

Position Details:

Location: Therapeutic day school serving students with diverse needs
Schedule: Full-time, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (students attend from 9:15 AM - 3:15 PM)
Caseload: Early Childhood (EC) through 8th grade, all students have IEPs and special education services

Responsibilities:

Provide social-emotional and behavioral support to students with diverse and complex needs.
Develop and implement individualized goals and interventions based on IEPs.
Collaborate with teachers, paraprofessionals, and families to ensure holistic support.
Participate actively in team meetings and planning sessions to align services.
Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with IEP requirements.

Qualifications:

Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work
Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker endorsement
Experience working in special education or therapeutic settings is preferred
Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills
