Job Description: We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) on a full-time basis for a partner school that provides education for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. We are seeking a hardworking individual to join our speech therapy team for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year. The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for developing treatment plans, completing evaluations, and collaborating with parents and other key stakeholders.
Additional responsibilities will include;
Provide year-round services for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders, including direct, small group sessions, and push in utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance communication skills
Compile and develop treatment plans to support students
Develop and implement IEPs for students with ASD, incorporating specific, measurable goals tailored to each student
Regularly monitor and document students progress towards IEP goals and adjust therapy plans as necessary
Provide training on functional life skills for students approaching graduation
Implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and strategies, including communication boards, speech-generating devices, and sign language, as appropriate
Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and school district regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
Work closely with BCBAs and other professional such as Occupational Therapists, Special Education Teachers, and more
Speech Language Pathologist Requirements:
School-based and/or pediatric experience working with K-12th Graders
Experience with AAC devices is highly preferred
Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
Valid PA SLP license from the Pennsylvania Board of Speech-Language Pathologists
Valid PA Education Specialist Certificate from the Pennsylvania Department of Education
