Part-Time Speech Language Pathologist

AnthroMed Education is an organization dedicated to bringing together Related Service professionals in the Speech Language Pathology field right here in Greater Chicago, and we are immediately seeking a part-time SLP in Burbank, IL! The school provides enriching learning opportunities for students, and a unique campus setting to introduce variety into the school day for students. This role is open due to additional help that is needed within the school. The SLP coming in will help our other SLP, whose caseload is projected to be way too high due to transfers coming into the district.

Location: Burbank, IL 60459

Pay: $45.00 – $56.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities of the SLP include:

  • Ability to work 3 days per week.
  • Provide therapy to Junior High school students.
  • Manage a split caseload of approximately 50-55 students with mild to moderate disabilities.
  • Provide high-quality direct speech-language therapy services to students according to the students IEPs.
  • Evaluate students’ speech-language abilities in order to prepare and conduct treatment plans for them.
  • Conduct assessments, translate and analyze assessment results, and develop reports to determine strengths and concerns in speech, voice, fluency, pragmatics, language, and oral motor skills.
  • Develop treatment plans, in conjunction with instructional staff, that are strength-based and child- and family-centered for overall educational improvement.
  • Participate in IEP conferences, team meetings, and problem-solving meetings.
  • Ensure evaluations, intervention plans, and service delivery are aligned with school, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Assist and guide teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language delays/disorders.
  • Communicate and counsel students and family members regarding communication deficits and instruct them in proper management techniques.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements of the SLP include:

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathology License.
  • Active Professional Educator License (PEL).
  • Previous experience with Junior High students is a plus, but not required.
