We are looking for a full-time Elementary School Social Worker in a highly supportive and collaborative school with a start date of August 12th. This position is well-fit for those who enjoy working with students within the special education population. Students will have more day-to-day needs, including Autism or autism-like behavior. In this position, AnthroMed will be with you every step of the way; providing support and resources to meet your students’ needs best.

Job Responsibilities of the School Social Worker include:
  • Assist in the early recognition and prevention of educational problems
  • Monitor student progress and make informed, timely educational decisions.
  • Participate in the development of the student’s Individual Education Plan
  • Collaboration with staff and families
  • Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student safety and success
  • Advocate for the well-being of students
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications of the Special Education Teacher:
  • Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work
  • LMSW license eligible in the State of Illinois
  • Preferred experience in a K-12 setting
