What we are hiring for: We are excited to announce an opening for a full-time School Social Worker to join our team at one of our partner schools in Burbank, Illinois! This position is based at a supportive, team-oriented cooperative school that serves K-12th-grade students through various specialized programs. The selected School Social Worker will play a pivotal role in supporting students with autism, social communication needs, and more.


Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Work full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 am-3:15 pm.
  • The School Social Worker will have their own caseload, which will be a mix of Elementary and High School students across the different programs. 
  • Manage a 30-student caseload.
  • Provide push-in services working with higher-needs students.
  • Deliver tailored services to students with autism, social communication needs, and more.
  • Collaborate confidentially and compassionately with students, families, and the school community to bridge gaps and foster positive outcomes.
  • Manage IEP responsibilities, including timely progress monitoring, data-driven instruction, and compliance with all IEP requirements.
  • Conduct assessments, provide clinical interventions, and communicate findings to students and families.
  • Support students with emotional, social, attendance, and/or behavioral challenges, utilizing evidence-based interventions.
  • Perform classroom observations and functional behavior assessments for identified students.
  • Use student performance data to guide decision-making and tailor interventions.
  • Contribute to a school culture that prioritizes collaboration, growth, and improved student learning.
  • Attend meetings, participate in professional development, and complete additional duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work.
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Social Work endorsement.
  • Experience working with Elementary or K-12 students is a plus, but not required.
