AnthroMed Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team in McHenry, IL and provide essential social-emotional support to students in grades K-5. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elementary-aged children, an understanding of social work practices, and a passion for fostering positive, supportive learning environments. This full-time, onsite position will involve working closely with students, staff, and families to address a range of social and emotional needs and contribute to the success of the school’s multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS).

AnthroMed Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to join our team in McHenry, IL and provide essential social-emotional support to students in grades K-5. The ideal candidate will have experience working with elementary-aged children, an understanding of social work practices, and a passion for fostering positive, supportive learning environments. This full-time, onsite position will involve working closely with students, staff, and families to address a range of social and emotional needs and contribute to the success of the school’s multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS).
Caseload & Responsibilities:
- Serve a student population of approximately 200 students in grades K-5.
- Provide direct support to students with emotional and behavioral needs, including 13 students with IEP minutes.
- Facilitate informal small group sessions and provide individualized support as part of the MTSS framework.
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to support students in classrooms and provide social-emotional learning (SEL) interventions.
- Assist with crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and behavioral management.
- Develop and implement behavior intervention plans and provide guidance for students with significant emotional needs.
- Conduct regular check-ins with students and families to monitor progress and well-being.
- Participate in school-wide initiatives to enhance the overall climate and culture.
- Provide consultation to parents and staff regarding student social-emotional challenges.

Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Social Work
- Valid Illinois State Professional Educator License (PEL)
- Valid IDFPR License
