Job Description:
We are seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a partner school that provides education for students from Kindergarten through 12th grade. We are seeking a hardworking individual to join our speech therapy team on a full-time basis for the 2024-2025 school year. The Speech Language Pathologist will be responsible for developing treatment plans, completing evaluations, and collaborating with parents and other key stakeholders for students.Additional responsibilities will include;
- Provide year-round services for students including direct, small group sessions, and push in utilizing evidence-based practices to enhance communication skills
- Compile and develop treatment plans to support students
- Develop and implement IEPs for students, incorporating specific, measurable goals tailored to each student
- Provide training on functional life skills for students approaching graduation
- Implement augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices and strategies, including communication boards, speech-generating devices, and sign language, as appropriate
- Collaborate with department by being a part of team meetings with service providers, Special Education teachers, and BCBAs
Speech Language Pathologist Requirements:
- School-based and/or pediatric experience working with school aged kids
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid MD SLP license from the Maryland Board of Speech-Language Pathologists
