Position Overview: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
We’re thrilled to announce an opportunity to join our team as a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in an engaging elementary school district in Lemont, IL. This role focuses on supporting K-5th grade students as they grow, learn, and discover their potential.
Your Impact
As a vital member of our team, you will:
- Bring Therapy Plans to Life: Implement individualized treatment plans designed by Occupational Therapists, tailored to each student's unique needs.
- Unlock Potential: Help students build fine motor skills, enhance sensory processing, and master self-regulation strategies.
- Foster Connections: Provide therapy in individual and group settings, creating a supportive environment that encourages growth.
- Track Progress: Maintain detailed records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and required reports to ensure accountability and compliance.
- Collaborate for Success: Work closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to align therapy goals with students’ educational journeys.
- Be a Voice for Students: Attend IEP meetings to contribute insights and advocate for each child’s success.
- Adapt and Innovate: Customize activities and materials to meet the diverse needs of your students.
What You Bring
- Certification as an Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in Illinois.
- Experience with children or in a school-based setting (preferred).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
