AnthroMed Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Social Worker to join our team for the 2024-2025 school year. This is a grant-funded position aimed at enhancing the school’s capacity to support social-emotional learning (SEL) and provide emotional support services to students. The School Social Worker will play a key role in promoting the well-being of students, providing individual and group counseling, and collaborating with school staff to create a positive and supportive school environment. This position is ideal for a social worker who is passionate about supporting middle school students’ emotional health and social development. The role will involve working closely with a caseload of 14-20 students and providing ongoing support for their mental health and SEL needs.

The role will involve working closely with a caseload of 14-20 students and providing ongoing support for their mental health and SEL needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to address emotional, social, and behavioral challenges.
- Develop and implement personalized intervention plans for students, in collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families.
- Assist students in developing coping skills, resilience, and strategies for managing stress and emotional difficulties.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure success.
- Conduct crisis intervention and provide support during times of acute need.
- Facilitate social-emotional learning programs and initiatives within the school.
- Serve as a resource to faculty and staff on strategies for supporting students’ emotional and behavioral well-being.
- Participate in school meetings, including IEPs and student support team meetings.
- Collaborate with community agencies and mental health professionals as needed to support students’ needs.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records in accordance with school policies.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW)
- Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an endorsement in School Social Work

- This position is grant-funded, with funding available through June 4th, 2025.
- Current team includes one additional School Social Worker and one School Counselor.
- Caseload of 14-20 students, allowing for a focused, personalized approach to student support.
