Occupational Therapist Job Description:- Complete evaluations to assess occupational needs and areas of growth
- Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services to high school students with significant cognitive/intellectual disabilities
- Assist case managers with developing student Individualized Education Plans (IEP)
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and classroom teachers to meet the students’ occupational therapy needs
- Use play-based and activity-based interventions to engage students in meaningful activities
- Observe elementary and high school students and collect data to measure progress and adjust treatment plans
- Possession of a valid license to practice as an Occupational Therapist as issued by the DC Department of Health
- Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy
- Experience working in pediatrics and/or schools is preferred
