Salary: $58,000 – $68,000

Key Responsibilities:
- Individual and Group Counseling: Provide individual counseling and facilitate group therapy sessions to address students' emotional, social, and behavioral needs.
- Collaboration with Staff: Work closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that align with students' needs.
- Crisis Intervention: Support students during moments of emotional crisis, helping to de-escalate situations and providing immediate interventions.
- Behavioral Support: Collaborate with teachers and behavior specialists to implement behavioral strategies and create positive behavior intervention plans (PBIPs) for students.
- Parent and Family Engagement: Maintain open communication with families, providing regular updates on student progress and offering strategies to support students at home.
- Social Skills Development: Implement programs that focus on developing students' social skills, coping strategies, and self-regulation techniques.
- Team Collaboration: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, including speech therapists, occupational therapists, and special education staff, to ensure a holistic approach to each student’s education and well-being.
- Documentation and Reporting: Keep accurate records of interventions, student progress, and communication with families, ensuring compliance with school and district policies.
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program.
- Valid Illinois State Professional Educator License (PEL)
